The Rules of IMC
Mission Statement:
IMC is a "TEAM" or group or Terran players that want to meet other players. We do individual or Team battle including clan war. It is more of a social group than anything. We are not here to take over b.net, bully people, or to lend ourselves to the standard "clan" mindset. We do recruit, we do have a webpage, our own way of doing ranks, but at the same time many clan "operating procedures" will be ignored (for the most part) The IMC is based off the Space Marine Chapters of Warhammer 40K. Please take time to view our history page. The Litany of Imperial Marine Chapters These are responsibilities, which apply to ALL IMC members. No exceptions!!! Repeated and or blatant failure to adhere to this Litany will result in being kicked out. (To say this upfront and honest.if you are a jackass or one of those cocky types who think you know it all, did it all, then do us a favor and get the hell off our page. We are here for the benefit of players who want to have fun and learn a little something)
The Role of the Litany:
These are rules of conduct for our group. They are not made to weigh you down or to make your life miserable. In essence, it is real simple, play a good game, be a decent human being to others, and be fairly active. This litany is typed up to provide all members a guide to refer to and to plainly lay out what we are about as a team.
General Codex
1. A name changed is required. It must have the designation of -IMC. E-mail is also required. No test is required, no # of wins, no ladder rank etc is required to join. We can freely offer a name to you via our webpage. (Please see the recruitment form for more details on joining the IMC)
2. Show respect to you group-mates and to your opponents. We do no want to lend ourselves to the bad reputation that clans' have nor do we want to contribute to it. We do not have a lot of requirements. It is our responsibility to keep our espirit de corps high.
3. When you fight, fight the good fight, win, lose or draw. There will be NO disconnecting on purpose. If you know you cannot stay for a full game then do not offer to play or partner with another IMC member or with anyone for that matter.
4. Keep an open mind and learn. We are about strategies and some of us have a better way of doing things.
5. Remember that we are a team so when we play, play as a team. If another IMC is getting attacked and you can help then do so.
6. Your IMC login should be used for primarily Terran, unless the situation dictates otherwise. There are times in which you will be allowed to play other races. These situations include but are not limited to (Clan wars, Team Battles, and training sessions) Our History and basis for the clan is rooted heavily in the Terran race. If you think Terrans suck, this is probably not the clan for you.
7. You may use other logins if you wish to play other races or you have a ladder login etc. It is probably NOT the best idea to belong to this group and another clan.
8. Only the Recruiters (Librarians) should be doing any "formal" recruiting. If you wish to become a recruiter for the group, please see the "Academy Astartes" section for more details. If you meet the qualification, contact Bloodrinker-IMC through the "Barracks" page. You can tell your friends about us, we have no problem with that
9. There are ranks; however, ranks DO NOT confer authority over another member. It is just a means of advancement. All members are treated equally in their ideas, suggestions and feedback. The clan is run by the Imperium Administrates, who are the organizers and the administrative arm of the clan. Please see details of our ranking system in the "Academy Astartes"
10. We are new, so grow along with us. We want to stay fairly small to give players the attention they deserve. Help by being an active member, striving for a position etc. not because you have to but because you want to. If you no longer feel the spirit to be in the IMC you are free to leave, we will still play with you.
11. When it is all said and done it is just a game. Always remind yourself of that. You can choose to be as active as you feel comfortable but at least be active.
12. HAVE SOME FUN!!!!!!!!
Profile Codex:
1. Enter in you rank somewhere within your profile so that other members can see your rank. 2. Enter in some flavor text, a personal quote, whatever you would like as long as it does not offend. If you wish, help the clan out by putting our web page address in your profile.
Ranking Codex:
1. Understand that ranks do not confer authority but they do confer a matter of respect.
2. Respect all members who are above or below you in rank.
3. Some ranks confer a position within the clan, be well aware of your position requirements if you are promoted to a position (Librarian, Chaplain, etc.)
4. If you do not fulfill the expectations of your rank you can be demoted.
Activity Codex:
1. We ask that you have some form of activity (game playing preferred) At least an average of at least 1-2 games a week if possible. Other ways of activity is posting to the forum or e-mailing.
2. If we show that your account has no activity for 3 consecutive weeks and we have not heard from you, then we post your name on the page as being AWOL
3. The 4th week of inactivity, your name and e-mail will be removed from the group mailing lists and Barracks page.
Violation of the Litany:
1. The Inquisitor will address any violations of the Litany, and it is his decision to decide what is to be done with the offending member of the clan with the consent of the rest of the IA. This does include dishonorable discharge from the clan.
2. All members are bound by the code of honor to report any members who blatantly violate the Litany. Once again, the Inquisitor is responsible for taking action.
